Saw U2 in Paris this year. It was all about the stage and there was even some music in thrown in there too. Gonna go crazy remix was the best bit.

Wow... what a gig.. U2 certainly pulled out the stops for this one.. fantastic atmosphere, fault less performance & that stage.. took a while to pull ours jaws back up from looking at the claw. Bono paid Birthday tribute to Willy, Sheffield hometown man who designed this stage of the future. What impressed me the most was how the Band & ticketing agents made various pricing structures to choose from.. more per ticket for front row seats, less for seated back row. In these tough times I didn’t expect to get to a good stadium gig this year.. However paying for the cheapest option allowed me and my friends to attend what has to be the highlight of the year for any music fan. It was no way spoilt by begin back seated at the stadium.. got a fantastic view and sound couldn’t have been better.. thanks to all behind the ticket pricing for making monetary sense for big gig’s at last... I will have great memories of this show for years to come now..

Had been waiting to see U2 again for a while (last saw them on the Zoo TV tour), and was worth the wait. Fantastic gig, great value on our tickets/seats, although it seems we might have got lucky, when reading other reviews. Did think the difference in pricing of seats was stange, but can't complain with what we got. The boys were tremendous - setlist was brilliant, although I wanted them to do an extra number to make up for the sound going down during Walk On, but can't have everything! Loved the new songs too. Only issue with Hampden, was traffic, but as there was a footie game on close by too, suppose can't really complain. Some event staff weren't very helpful/friendly, others were fine. Overall - brilliant U2 made a fantastic night.

Had the best ever experience with U2 despite the late arrival of us from Dundee due to someone someplace planning the Celtic game at the same time!! 66,000 at the concert + the same at the footy doesn't work!! parking was a nightmare + we missed the first act Glasvegas. Only glad we got there in time to see a great mix of old + new songs- U2 got the atmosphere to party level despite a minor glitch in the sound when Bono sang his tribute to the Burmese leader under house arrest. His control of the crowd was amazing! Well worth the wait! The claw created a magnificent stage effect only making the group seem so small in comparison from our front seating. Next time I'll bring my binoculars!! Hurry back Bono+co!!

Not many bands can stage an event which holds all the fans in in the grip of a fantastic stadium performance, but U2 have consistenly done this for the past 22 years...until now.

As a U2.com member and regular U2 stadium devotee since Joshua Tree in 87, I was confident that having spent £80 on my ticket for the revolutionary 360 tour at Hampden Park, Glasgow, I would be assured of a classic performance.

Apart from the sound problems half way through the concert, which were never fully resolved, the band did deliver a fantastic experience for 80-85% of the crowd.
As my ticket was allocated before they went on general sale I was very dissapointed that I was at the back of the claw and we were treated to the odd visit from the boys. The 360 screen certainly provided a close up of the band, but this didn't make up for the near constant view of the back of their heads.

As a fan who has spent over £500 on U2 in the past I would happily pay the same again if not more to see them in a traditional stadium set-up and would encourage them to play for longer than the 2 hour set, which can never do justice to their magnificent catalogue.

I admire their desire to change the format and engage everyone with the 360 set-up, but it didn't work this time.

Sheffield - penultimate show of the UK leg of the tour...

I have bought the ticket during March 2009 pre-sale available for fans and I was travelling 2,900 km from Bucharest (Romania) to Sheffield for this event! I confirm that it worth each kilometer or mile, however you want to consider it!

U2 live performance is amazing indeed... gives me the chills... to see thousands of people yelling in one voice "E-LE-VA-TION!" - just an example, there are plenty more... Bono is a wizard and a whole stadium was singing and dancing led by his magical fescue...

The venue was very well prepared for the event, the staff was polite and helpful and the quality of the sound was just great because I was standing close to the stage, right in the middle, like a real fan should...
There is one thing that I have found hard to tolerate close to the entrance: the smell of those burgers - My God - that was TOXIC! and it was everywhere, I think that was the only food available to buy... I'm not saying that in Europe they sell salads during concerts, but there is a minimum diversity for the fast-food available during those events...

Looking back to the event, I would definitely go for it again!

Excellent performance by U2 - they never disappoint. Set, sound and light show were stunning. However, I thought the 360 degree promise was stretching it a bit. There was still a front to the stage and this was fine if you were on the pitch but we were to the side and only got the odd glimpse when they decided to have a wee wander. I think I would have been gutted if I was in the seats looking at the back of the stage.

Obviously the screens help as you can see everything there but I felt a bit cheated by staging. Support acts were The Hours and Glasvegas. The Hours put on a great show and didn't look out of place on the bill. Glasvegas were dreadful and looked really uncomfortable although it was their home crowd. I liked Glasvegas's album but they were well out of their depth here - their music just didn't work at a big venue.

The stage for this year's 360 tour really defies description. You can try to explain it in words but it's such a visual feast that words don't come close. Add to this the fantastic band that are U2 and how could it fail. We were lucky to see U2 in Glasgow. The crowds there are renowned for their enthusiasm and Bono and the guys acknowledged it in full with a fantastic performance.

The new material was blended with a great selection from previous albums and with that stage set up was just amazing. If you get the chance to attend - don't think twice it's worth every penny!
